About the blog.
Matthew 5 tells us to let our light shine so that others can see Jesus through our actions. When my Jesus content was on my professional website, I felt I was promoting myself with a side of Jesus. The old website is a portfolio to show my skills to employers. It was a weird mix of trying to show Jesus and my resume. But I don’t want to show off myself here. I want Jesus to be the ultimate and only focus. So, I started The Jesus Blog.
Why the Jesus Blog?
About the blogger.
My name is Hannah Spangler. I’m a writer, substitute teacher, missions intern, and daughter of God. I love coffee, family game nights, and sharing what I’ve learned with others. My goal is to use this website as a creative space to be a light for Jesus.
I’m really glad you’re here.
The Blog.
I haven’t been on Earth long, but the Lord has taught me a lot. Read a collection of my stories, old and new. May these words inspire, challenge, and draw you closer to Jesus.
Prayer Requests.
Let me pray for you. Whether you need support, or someone to cheer you on, I’m here! You can even be anonymous if that’s what’s comfortable for you.
Recommendations.
I’m definitely not famous or an influencer, so I know my recommendations may not carry much for you. But I consume a plethora of Jesus content. So, if you’re looking for a new podcast to follow, want to mix up your worship playlist, or want a new book to read, this page is for you!
Cambodia
God has laid mission work on my heart. Follow along as I travel to Cambodia, January-April! I’m looking forward to meeting new people and getting to know God in a deeper way. This page provides mission trip updates, fundraising information, and more!
